The Nigerian frontman has linked up with the club he supported as a boy on an initial loan deal, with a positive effect made at Old Trafford.
Manchester United would be the”trophy” for all the hard work that Odion Ighalo has set in downtime, says his agent Patrick Bastianelli, together with the Nigerian striker “reaping what he deserves”.
The 30-year-old frontman was obtained by the Red Devils on the last day of the winter transfer window at a first loan agreement with Shanghai Shenhua.
Having been plying his trade in China, questions were asked of whether the prior Watford guy was the ideal choice for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in Old Trafford.
A boyhood United fan has, nevertheless, silenced his critics his style with four goals through eight appearances — including a stunning individual effort at a Europa League triumph over LASK.
It’s now being suggested that a permanent move could be on the cards for Ighalo, once aggressive soccer resumes, and Bastianelli states a long-term deal could be just rewarding for the seasoned frontman.
He advised Tuttosport: “Odion is reaping what he deserves after several sacrifices, after several years around Europe.
“Manchester is a trophy for everything he has shown in recent years.”
Ighalo has seen his professionalism make tons of plaudits since linking up with United, while there may be no denying his skill in the last third of the field.
“It is part of his personality, of his great seriousness,” additional Bastianelli.
“He scored many goals. He always has a positive attitude.
“Odion is someone who always looks ahead, always in a positive manner.”
Ighalo has made no secret of the fact that he’s living the fantasy since procuring a switch to United.
He’s determined to get the most out of the opportunity, despite the enforced break currently being taken in, and has already made lots of happy memories.
Bastianelli added, with Ighalo’s first goal for the Red Devils have come in a continental clash with Club Brugge: “It was also exciting for us to see his response, the joy in his eyes. Could not believe it…”
Ighalo, that has quickly proved his value Solskjaer, will be hoping that there are several more attempts to come after football resumes on the rear of this coronavirus outbreak.
