Ole made three changes to the starting lineup for this match. Ronaldo and Pogba were dropped and replaced by Martial and Cavani. Lindelof replaced the injured club captain Harry Maguire.

The team won most of their loose ball duels in the midfield. Varane had a 100% win rate and won four duels. Luke Shaw won 80% of his duels. McTominay and Fred won three duels each.

Everton were strong towards the left side and Lucas Digne won the maximum number of defensive duels. Gordon and Townsend won two duels each.

Salomon Rondon won the most number of aerial duels in the match. The striker won 60% of his duels. He was supported by Godfrey and Mino who won four and three duels each.

Yerry Mina won all his loose ball duels and fellow centre back Keane also had a 100% win rate.

Manchester United missed a chance to go to the top of the table in the English Premier League. The Red Devils conceded a goal on a counter and were unable to score again. Manchester United are in the fourth position and Everton are just behind them in fifth.
